Following his Super Bowl victory, the NFL player won Athlete of the Year at the People's Choice Awards on Sunday, February 18, 2024, following his nearly 6-month romance with Taylor Swift.

Kelis, 34, was absent from the Barker Hanger Awards ceremony in Santa Monica, California.

Along with Coco Goff, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, Sabrina Ionescu, Simone Biles, and Stephen Curry, she was nominated for the honor.

Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, won four of her five nominations on Sunday, but was unable to attend the ceremony as she was performing in Australia as part of her Eras tour.

Things are really looking up for the Kansas City Chiefs after developing a relationship with the Bad Blood singer, and the player is finding it hard to believe.

In January, Kelce responded to his nomination by labeling it "f–king nonsense" on his New Heights podcast.

"What did I do to get Athlete of the Year? I did SNL," he quipped at the time. "How am I on this [list]?"

Many fans believe that, along with her skills, Kelce's romance with Swift, 34, which began last summer, helped her rise to fame, contributing to her success.
