The hearing on the application to declare the elections null and void was adjourned till February 21

Islamabad - The Supreme Court of Pakistan has postponed the hearing on the petition to declare the elections null and void until February 21. It has been reported that the petitioner could not be contacted after trying, the petitioner revealed himself to be an Ex-Brigadier of the Army, therefore a notice is issued to the petitioner Brigadier Retired Ali Khan by Ministry of Defence.


According to the details, a hearing was held in the Supreme Court on the petition filed to annul the general elections, a 3-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, the other 2 members of the bench include Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Musrat Hilali. On non-appearance of the petitioner at the beginning of the hearing, the Chief Justice inquired that 'Where are the petitioners?'

On withdrawing the petition from the petitioner Brigadier Retired Ali Khan, the Chief Justice said that 'Such Supreme Court cannot be joked with'. And then they disappear, is this a joke?' On this occasion, the court associate told the court that "tried to contact the petitioner by phone and address", on which the Chief Justice said, "Was the petition filed just for publicity?" Present the petitioner in any way, this case will be conducted.

Qazi Faiz Isa remarked that 'the petitioner released it on the media as soon as he filed the petition. It cannot be made, whether the petitioner filed the application himself or not, whether the petitioner comes later and says that I did not withdraw it. The Chief Justice ordered the additional attorney general to produce the petitioner through the concerned SHO and said that the hearing of the case will be held today on the arrival of the petitioner.
