Robert Irwin and girlfriend Rory Bucky have gone their separate ways after dating for two years.

Steve Irwin, the 20-year-old son of the late crocodile hunter, announced the shock in a joint statement on Instagram on Friday.

We wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways but deeply appreciate all the time we spent together and wish each other the best in the future.

"We want to express the gratitude and respect we have for each other as we continue our journey down different paths," the couple said.

Finally, he emphasized that he "will not be commenting further" on the matter, adding that he "really appreciates" the "respect and privacy" of his followers during this time.

Robert and Rory confirmed their romance in July 2023, when they both appeared on the red carpet at the Sydney premiere of Mission: Impossible 7.

The news also comes amid rumors that Robert was going to propose in March.
