Prince William opens up about Kate Middleton's recovery at BAFTAs

Prince William opened up for the first time about his wife Princess Kate's health issues at the 2024 BAFTA Awards.

For the unversed, the Prince of Wales marked his presence at the prestigious award ceremony on February 18 amid his wife's recovery from her 'planned abdominal surgery.'

As reported by GB News, William got candid about his wife's absence from the star-studded event to the chief executive of the Southbank Centre, Elaine Bedel.

The father-of-two said, "I’m sorry Catherine’s not here. She does love the Baftas."

The future King of the UK shared that he had not been able to watch the nominated films as Kate is recovering from her medical treatment.

William further shared, "I’ve done the fewest I’ve ever done before, with my wife it’s been a bit…hopefully we’ll catch up. I’ll make my list tonight."

He added, "All the ones I watch, she watches with me. So we go through it carefully."

Notably, the royal couple marked their glamourous debut as the Prince and Princess of Wales at the British Awards ceremony in 2023.

Catherine wore a stunning white one-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress with long black gloves at last year's BAFTAs.

On the other hand, William donned a double-breasted velvet blazer atop a white shirt and a bow tie, paired with black pants.
