Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) Central Amir Maulana Fazlur Rehman has invited the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) to be part of the opposition in the National Assembly while rejecting the results of the elections.

Talking to the media after the meeting of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam central council, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that "if the establishment thinks that the elections have been transparent, then the army's narrative of May 9 has been buried."

"This means that the nation has voted for traitors in the recent elections," he said.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman further said that the JUI central council has rejected the results of the elections held on February 8 as a whole.

The Election Commission was held hostage by the establishment. In the eyes of JUI, Parliament has lost its importance. Democracy is losing the case.

He said that 'it seems that now the decisions will not be made in the house but in the field.'

While talking to the media representatives, he said that JUI will play a parliamentary role, but participation in the assemblies will be with reservations.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the Jamiat's Majlis-e-Ameela has recommended the General Assembly to decide on the Jamiat's politics so that the election can be made transparent in an environment free from the interference of the establishment.

He said: 'We will not be part of any government formation. I will go to Balochistan and tell them about the decisions of the party. We have not decided to leave the assemblies. We are not with the government and will not even vote for the Prime Minister.

The central Amir of the Jamiat said that a nationwide movement would be launched to achieve their goals

After the elections of February 8, consultations between the political parties are going on to form a new government and the Muslim League (N) nominated Shehbaz Sharif for the post of Prime Minister on Tuesday.

In the three governments of Nawaz Sharif, the people gave a clear majority and he has made it clear in his election speeches that he will not be a part of any coalition government. Those who are familiar with the mood of Nawaz Sharif know the principled stand of Nawaz Sharif.
